Damon Thomas<p>With 22 Spoken Word albums you need a sampler. Last year I released "Joined The Sounds Of Waves" as an opinionated introduction to my recordings. But I've done a lot of writing since then. It's time for an update! My new Rural Gloom Sampler is now free to stream/download via bandcamp. <a href="https://damonthomas.bandcamp.com/album/joined-the-sounds-of-waves-a-rural-gloom-sampler" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">damonthomas.bandcamp.com/album</span><span class="invisible">/joined-the-sounds-of-waves-a-rural-gloom-sampler</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/writing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>writing</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/poetry" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>poetry</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/SpokenWord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SpokenWord</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/recording" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>recording</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/florida" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>florida</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/bandcamp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bandcamp</span></a></p>
Octavia con Amore :pink_moon_and_stars:<p>Yaaaay! :dracthyr_yay: Another recording (using my poor condenser mic that's been lying idle for a few months now :leafeon_giggle: )</p><p>This morning, I posted this: <a href="https://cutie.city/@OctaviaConAmore/110672262930502682" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">cutie.city/@OctaviaConAmore/11</span><span class="invisible">0672262930502682</span></a></p><p>The result of the work you see there is this recording.</p><p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://cutie.city/@viralvulpes" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>viralvulpes</span></a></span> performed this gorgeous rendition of Someone Like You a while back, and from the night I heard it, it made me want to record parts for it, but my recording equipment was scattered at the time. Fast forward to a few nights ago when I set everything back up, and then last night when I did trouble-shooting, arranging, recording, and mixing :panda_yay: :shiba_excited:</p><p>(Original recording: <a href="https://cutie.city/@viralvulpes/110433222355572214" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">cutie.city/@viralvulpes/110433</span><span class="invisible">222355572214</span></a>)</p><p>Aside from adding a bit of violin to the piece, I also did some EQing and a couple of minor effects to both bring out what was already gorgeous about Fox's recording as well as help blend the two tracks together (having different recording environments and equipment is a royal pain for this :blobfox_laugh_sweat: )</p><p>After sending him the finished file, he also gave me permission to post it here for you to hear. I hope I've done the Fox's original justice :bear_love: :espeon_love:</p><p>Thank you again, <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://cutie.city/@viralvulpes" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>viralvulpes</span></a></span> for allowing me to post this~ :hug_love:</p><p><a href="https://cutie.city/tags/Music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Music</span></a> <a href="https://cutie.city/tags/Musician" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Musician</span></a> <a href="https://cutie.city/tags/Performance" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Performance</span></a> <a href="https://cutie.city/tags/Recording" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Recording</span></a> <a href="https://cutie.city/tags/Piano" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Piano</span></a> <a href="https://cutie.city/tags/Violin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Violin</span></a> <a href="https://cutie.city/tags/Violinist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Violinist</span></a> <a href="https://cutie.city/tags/Vocal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Vocal</span></a> <a href="https://cutie.city/tags/ReaperDAW" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ReaperDAW</span></a> <a href="https://cutie.city/tags/CutieCollab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CutieCollab</span></a></p><p>p.s.
