Gemini はマークアップとかの辺りまで何かフォーマットを規定しているみたいで、まあ気持ちもモチベーションも合理性もわかるんだけど、うーん……と思うところがあり
まあシンプルであるところと代替実装が簡単であるところみたいなのは重要視しているのだろうし軽く調べただけでもなんとなく伝わってくるけど……

位置付けとしてはアプリケーション層で、主に lightweight hypertext を重視したプロトコルみたいね
FAQ では一応 arbitrary files が対象と言ってるけど (でないと画像とか配信できないもんね)、

という感じなので、やっぱりそこそこの大きさのアーカイブであるとか動画であるとかには向いていなくて、あくまで lightweight な文書とその周辺の小さなデータ片くらいがメインの目標という感じがする
